When Neil Bardal wanted to get baby boomers to think about preplanning their funeral options, this outside the box campaign positioned them to do exactly that.

 

Building a Reputation from the Ground Up

How do you get baby boomers to think about pre-planning their funeral arrangements? Not an easy task, yet this was the exact challenge Neil Bardal Inc., a full service funeral provider based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, brought to us. After undertaking a massive renovation of their facilities, they asked us to build for them an advertising campaign that would get baby boomers thinking ahead to their own funeral preparations.

Part of what we built for Neil Bardal Inc. - the theme, "Think outside the box" - was just good, old-fashioned, creative sloganeering. The other half of the campaign - the billboards, the direct mail, the radio ads sending listeners to the specially designed microsite, - was a massive, coordinated effort to mobilize everyone whose interest our ads had peaked and direct them toward Neil Bardal Inc.

The campaign was honoured with over a dozen awards and even the program directors of the radio stations where the ads aired said they received numerous follow-up calls from interested listeners.
